What is Dermaplaning?

A treatment with immediate results & zero downtime. Dermaplaning is the most effective exfoliation treatment. Using a sterile scalpel and very gentle, small strokes across the skin, we eliminate soft facial hair & dead skin cells, reducing the appearance of fine lines & hyper-pigmentation, leaving the skin silky smooth and naturally radiant.

How often should I use this treatment?

We recommend this treatment every 3-5 weeks to ensure your skin is at its healthiest & most vibrant. The Vellus hair (peach fuzz/soft facial hair) on the face does not grow back any thicker or darker post-treatment.

Chemical Peels

What is Dermaceutic Chemical Milk Peel & BioRepeel? (Both 35% conc.)

Dermaceutic - The perfect treatment for restoring the skin's luminosity & boosting collagen production. Collagen is responsible for maintaining strength, elasticity and hydration within the skin, as we age collagen production slows. Chemical peels are a perfect option for rejuvenation, hyperpigmentation/acne scars & reducing acne.

BioRepeel - Its Biphasic technology has incredible results for Anti-Ageing & acne scarring. It contains 14 active ingredients to promote cell turnover. A painless peel with zero downtime. Suitable for acne prone skin & all skin tones & types.

How long will I peel for?

At Sister Aesthetics we use the medical-grade Dermaceutic Milk Peel & BioRepeel. Unlike most peels, there is little-zero downtime with both treatments. The perfect lunch-break treatments!  

How many treatments are required?

This is dependent on the client & would be discussed prior to treatment via consultation. We would normally recommend a course of 3 treatments for optimum results, with a minimum of 4 week intervals.

(If during the consultation we believe a different Chemical Peel would be more beneficial for you, we would discuss in depth prior to treatment)

Exfoliate and Rejuvenate Facial

What does this treatment involve?

By combining Dermaplaning with a Chemical Peel, we are revealing a layer of fresh skin & allowing a deeper penetration of Chemical Peel. This results in longer lasting results and an even brighter complexion. This treatment is also very effective at regulating oily prone skin.

Does it hurt?

There can be a slight tingling/stinging sensation as the peel is being applied to a fresh layer of skin, but this will only last 2 minutes before our practitioner will remove the product with lukewarm water. 

Microneedling / Derma-Roller

Microscopic needles are used to prick the skin, causing a low level of trauma to the outer layer of the epidermis. This prompts the skin's healing process, encouraging  skin regeneration & production of collagen and elastin. The result? A brighter & tighter complexion with less skin imperfections.

A soothing serum & oil facial massage will complete the treatment based on your skin's individual rejuvenation needs. 

Is it painful?

We use a topical numbing cream prior to the to ease any discomfort you may have.

Post-treatment you will most likely experience some skin irritation, slight bleeding & redness - All of which will settle in a few hours.

What is the aftercare?

At Sister Aesthetics we will always ensure you leave the clinic with detailed guidelines of our aftercare measures for all treatments. 

• Avoid sunbeds & exercise for at least 72 hours

• Apply SPF 25 or more post-treatment (SPF should already be part of your daily skincare regime)

• Avoid applying topical creams unless otherwise stated by a dermatologist

• Applying Hyaluronic Acid can help reduce any dryness that may occur post-treatment 

Microblading

What is Microblading?

A semi-permanent eyebrow tattoo treatment to enhance the shape, colour & fullness of the brows. Pigment is placed beneath the upper layers of the skin using small needles to resemble natural hair strokes. Results typically last up to 1- 1.5 years, at which point you would require an annual top-up.

A consultation is mandatory before any treatment & a top-up is required after 4 weeks to ensure perfect results (All included within the price).

Is it painful?

Some clients have described the feeling as an uncomfortable scratching sensation whilst others find it fairly painless. 

Is it a long procedure?

The treatment usually lasts approximately 2 hours. During this time we will keep talking you through the next steps and ensuring you & the practitioner are both happy with how your beautiful brows are taking shape. 

Can I get this treatment whilst pregnant?

Unfortunately not, we do not perform cosmetic tattooing on pregnant women for safety reasons.

If you are pregnant & looking for a safe self-care treatment, our brow shape and tint would be perfect for you! (providing you have no reaction to the patch test we perform 48 hours prior to treatment).

How long does this treatment last?

Pluck and shape of the brow complimented with a brow tint to give you naturally full and defined brows lasting 4-6 weeks.

Vitamin B12 Injections

What are the benefits?

Benefits include:

For optimum results we recommend a course of 3 injections with 2 week intervals between treatments. 

Are there any side effects?

Vitamin B12 injections are considered very safe, if there were to be any side effects it would most likely be linked to the injection site being bruised or bleeding slightly.

Dermal Fillers

At Sister Aesthetics we only use FDA approved dermal filler containing Hyaluronic Acid, a substance found naturally within the body that attracts water, retaining skin moisture & volume.

Lip Augmentation

What does this treatment include?

An extremely popular injectable treatment used to create shape, symmetry & volume for a beautiful lip enhancement. We offer 2 treatment options, our classic range of Dermal Filler which typically lasts 3-6 months and our premium range, lasting up to 12 months. (This can change depending on clients lifestyle choices).

This treatment can also be very effective for clients concerned with ageing lines & ‘smokers lines’ on the lip border.

Will I need a consultation?

Prior to your treatment, we will always undergo a consultation lasting roughly 20 minutes. This will allow us to explain how we’ll create your desired look whilst ensuring you are comfortable, relaxed & ready to proceed.

Does it hurt?

The Dermal Filler products used at Sister Aesthetics all contain Lidocaine which helped reduce any discomfort you may feel. We can also apply a topical numbing cream if requested to further ease any pain.

Will I be bruised after the treatment?

Bruising & swelling are common side effects and will usually subside in the following days. All aftercare will be explained on the day, and guidelines will also be sent to you via email.

Nasolabial Folds

What are Nasolabial Folds and what’s involved with the treatment?

As we age our ‘smile lines’ that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth can appear sunken & hollow. Dermal Filler is a great option to restore volume & reverse the look of ageing by smoothing fine lines and wrinkles, resulting in a more youthful look.

When will I see results?

Immediately after your treatment you will see results. Swelling may hinder the complete look, therefore we’d advise to wait 3-6 days. Results typically last up to 1 year.

How long does the treatment take?

Your appointment would last approximately 45 minutes - 1 hour. This includes 15/20 minute consultation & the treatment.

Anti-wrinkle Treatment

The world's most popular non-surgical cosmetic procedure. Botulinum Toxin is injected into areas of concern to rid of fine lines & wrinkles by relaxing overactive muscles in the face.

Areas we typically treat are the forehead, frown lines between the eyes, and crows feet around the eyes.

Anti-wrinkle injections are also a great option to prevent wrinkles & fine lines from appearing by undergoing the treatment in your mid 20’s if this is a concern of yours.

Migraines have also been shown to improve in recent studies post anti-wrinkle treatment.

At Sister Aesthetics a consultation is always mandatory prior to receiving treatment. During this time your practitioner & prescribing nurse will assess your medical questionnaire & desired look to ensure you’re a suitable candidate for the procedure.

How long do the results last & are they immediate?

Typically between 3-4 months. If you were to have the treatment regularly, fewer treatments would be required with longer intervals in between.

Results will be fully settled between 7-14 days. This can change from person to person. A two week review is not mandatory but can be booked if more product is required at a charge of £20.

Results can be maintained by:

• Reducing smoking

• Looking after your skin

• Eating well.

Profhilo®

What is Profhilo®?

The first of its kind, Profhilo® is a revolutionary 'beneath the skin' hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment, made with the patented NAHYCO® technology. This results in a unique hyaluronic acid injectable gel, which has a prolonged stimulating activity on the dermal cells. When injected into skin, Profhilo stimulates the skin cell receptors to counteract skin laxity and improve and restore firmness of the skin.

One of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market, Profhilo not only boosts and hydrates the skin, but also remodels ageing and sagging tissue. The most common areas of treatment include the face and neck and can also be used for the décolletage, hands, arms, knees and abdomen area where it would effectively treat skin laxity. The treatment is suitable for men and women as well as offering skin benefits for patients of all ages.

How many treatments are required?

We recommend 2 treatments with a 4 week gap for optimum results. £400 for both treatments.
